WBTV Segment (October 12, 2015)

The Holiday season can be full of joy, but it can also be full of ugh. Ugh = stress, loneliness, whoas, and all around junk. In this Arden’s Book Club segment on WBTV, I suggest three books to help get your mind and heart prepared to be positive and productive this Christmas season.

downloadElizabeth Elliott’s Let Me Be a Woman changes the game for how women should view themselves in relation to the world around them. Through letters to her daughter, Elliott reveals Biblical principles for living life fully committed to your God and your womanhood. A must read of any woman.

Bob Goff’s Love Does has humor by the bucket load as one man shows how he, and all his buddies, spread love in creative ways. This book will inspire you to love harder, and accept love more readily. It makes a great gift too!

Linda Dillow’s Satisfy My Thirsty Soul was a recommendation from my counselor during a period in my life where I felt so far from the Lord and completely empty in my pursuit to find Him. Through every day situations, Dillow showed me how to reconnect with the God of the Universe; who’s also the God of our everyday.
